Remember the humidity we had in the air yesterday? It is gone, swept out of the region by a cool front that passed through the area overnight.
As a result, we will have a mostly sunny, breezy, and cooler day today. Highs will only be in the mid 70s in eastern South Dakota, and around 80 in the west. There were some early morning sprinkles in northern Minnesota, and they may drift down into SW Minnesota during the day – but everywhere else should remain dry.
Dry will be the story all week long. The first half of the week will feature temperatures five to ten degrees cooler than normal – mostly in the 70s for highs East River. Temps will gradually warm as we move toward the weekend.
But chances for rainfall are minimal or non-existent. This is normally a dry time of year, and this year will be no exception.
