Wind and early morning clouds will be the biggest weather stories of the day. Fog set up in SW Minnesota and NW Iowa. That was the result of heavier rains just outside of KELOLAND. We’ll transition into some more sunshine during the afternoon but NNW winds will be intense at times. That storm system to our east mixes with stable air coming over the Rockies to channel gusty conditions. It looks like the Hills and foothills will be the breeziest spots.
Tonight we’ll have largely clear skies. Winds will fall and temperatures will stay moderate.
Tomorrow looks like a great day for outdoor plans. The south winds will not be as strong. The sun should largely stay out and many of our highs will be near 80!
The winds pick back up Tuesday through Thursday. A cold front arrives late Tuesday and there is a chance of scattered showers by midweek.
