Storm Center Update - Saturday PM

June 7, 2014, 4:24 PM by Grant Smith

For the overnight hours, we’ll see decreasing clouds with temps cooling down to the mid to upper 40s. Slight chances for rain out west as rain could drift in from Wyoming.

For Sunday, highs in the mid-50s for the west, and mid to upper 60s for central and northeastern KELOLAND and parts of the southeast could hit the 70 degree mark.

Mostly clear skies across most of the state to start the day but as rain moves east, expect clouds to build as rain approaches. Current timing has the rain starting in the early morning hours on Sunday for the west and it looks to move east to start. Looks to reach central South Dakota in the early afternoon hours and then it will start to move southeast. The southeast looks to see rain in the evening hours. The northeast is just on the edge of getting any rain at all, but if the rain does grow that far north, they’ll see rain starting late Sunday afternoon.

As the showers and storms move east, it does look to be out of KELOLAND around midday on Monday, so Monday afternoon will have decreasing clouds and highs reaching the low 70s.

Temperatures will slowly warm back up to the upper 70s to low 80s by the end of the week. Next chance for more storms in the middle of the week.
