A chilly night for Saturday will take some places like Aberdeen into the teens below zero. Then southerly winds return to KELOLAND on Sunday bringing us warmer temperatures. Afternoon highs in the teens for Sioux Falls and Aberdeen while Pierre and Rapid City will see mid to upper twenties.
For the next work week, expect a big cool down as a large batch of cold air arrives Monday. Temperatures will be in the single digits or colder for all of KELOLAND and there is still that chance for snow as early as Monday night and lasting through most of the day Tuesday. Majority of this large storm system will be to the south but if the models shift the storm north, we could see a lot more snow. On the other hand, if the models shift the system south, we’ll see less snow. Either way, we will keep an eye on it here at KELOLAND. Rest of the week looks dry except for a slight chance for more snow Friday night.
