We saw a nice, warm Saturday across the KELOLAND region. The good news is… temperatures will rise after midnight, and it will be even warmer on Sunday.
But first, there is a chance of light rain north of I-90 tonight. It will only involve a few hundredths of an inch, but temperatures in the northern edge of South Dakota (Mobridge to Aberdeen to Milbank) so there is a freezing rain advisory overnight. A light glaze is possible overnight.
Tomorrow will be that warm day – most places in the 40s – but winds will increase. Western South Dakota could see NW winds of 20-40 mph. The breezy NW winds will come east by Sunday evening.
Monday we have a chance of light snow. Most places will be under an inch, and in western and central South Dakota a few raindrops will mix in.
Next week, as we’ve been saying, looks mild but windy. At this point, it looks like the winds will be especially strong Monday night into Tuesday, and Wednesday night into Thursday. But for the most part, temperatures will be at- or above-normal… so it shouldn’t be too bad a week for us. It has to be better than last week, right?
