Storm Center Update - Saturday PM

December 1, 2012, 5:49 PM by Ben Cathey

Even with a few periods of morning clouds and a weak system in our northern counties, we still managed a big-time warm up.  Tomorrow should be even warmer with a breeze and sun.

Just a few clouds will move in during the overnight hours tonight.  With wind speeds starting to drop off after sunset, that could mean patchy fog or freezing fog tomorrow morning.  Skies will clear by the later portions of the morning and we should get a nice warming trend along with that.  Much later tomorrow another cold front starts to push through our western areas.  By Monday morning that could lead to very isolated sprinkles or flurries.  Either way, we don’t expect much of an issue with this.  Monday will still be very warm in eastern KELOLAND and the west will still be pleasant.  We will warm back up through Wednesday and return to sunshine (at least early in the day).  Then a new and more powerful cold front arrives.  This will chill us down for the end of the week.  We also have a chance at a light wintry mix late Wednesday into early Thursday.
There is a chance of light showers next Saturday but this is still a little spotty.
