Storm Center Update - Saturday PM

Mild and dry weather last through the seven day forecast. A big chill is coming up shortly, but record temperatures come right before.
Tomorrow will be much the same as today, with a little bit more sunshine in many locations. Monday will be the record-tester. Aberdeen’s current record is 52 and we will be close to breaking that. You can expect more warmth on Tuesday, but a strong cold front comes Tuesday night. Though most will stay dry again (light snow is possible in the Black Hills), your commutes Wednesday will feel much more winter-like. It will be even colder Thursday East River, possibly even below normal for once.
A slow warming trend follows into next weekend.

A few light rain showers are still lingering over KELOLAND this morning but they are fading out.

The ice itself does not protect the tree or the blossoms, but it's the heat that is given off by the water as it freezes that protects the plant.

The early spring chill is still in the air. Even though it didn't happen in Sioux Falls, we had 20s Thursday morning in KELOLAND.
