Moderate to heavy rainfall made its way into KELOLAND during the overnight hours. This first round of showers and storms is expected to keep moving north during the day and slowly weaken. A break in the rain this afternoon which will allow highs to reach the mid to upper 70s for most of the area, the southeast looks to be a little warming reaching the mid-80s.
Redevelopment of showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon into evening hours, and those storms have a chance to be considered severe storms since there will be plenty of energy leftover at the end of the day. Those storms will mainly affect the eastern side of KELOLAND.
For the overnight hours, what storms that are leftover will keep moving out of the area with lows in the 50s for central and western KELOLAND, while the eastern side cools down to the low to mid-60s.
Sunday will have a few leftover rain showers for eastern South Dakota, otherwise, we can expect clearing skies throughout the afternoon. Afternoon highs reaching the 70s to low 80s.
The next work week will be cooler with highs in the 60s and 70s. Rain is expected again on Tuesday and Wednesday, then mostly clear skies for the rest of the week.
