Storm Center Update - Monday PM

June 23, 2014, 2:25 PM by Jay Trobec

Storm Center Update - Monday PM

We’re enjoying a pleasant day across the region, and we expect a quiet evening and tomorrow as well.

Temperatures are a few degrees cooler than normal, in the 70s. The air is dry, with dew points in the 40s and 50s, and winds will be light through the evening hours.

Tomorrow we’ll start with morning lows in the 50s. Winds will be light, and temps will be similar to today – 70s to low 80s.

Tomorrow night humidity will start to return to the region, and we could be in for some storms for the middle part of the week.

At this point, the chances of severe weather are relatively low.

The story changes late this week. Most of the region will be in the 80s, and humidity will help destabilize the atmosphere. That means the risk of severe weather and heavy rain will increase.
