Rain will continue for much of eastern KELOLAND through the overnight with many locations getting over two inches of rain by the morning.
Some rain amounts through 2:00 p.m. include: Huron 1.70”, Mitchell 1.68”, Watertown 1.44”, Philip 1.26”, Pierre 1.15”, Sioux Falls 1.13”, and Chamberlain 1.08”.
Rain will also continue in the plains of western South Dakota with snow in the Hills. Snow amounts in the Hills will be close to six to twelve inches by the morning. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings are in place for the Hills until Tuesday morning. Lows will fall to the thirties and forties.
Tuesday will be another wet day, especially in eastern KELOLAND. Numerous showers will hold into the morning and early afternoon for much of eastern and northeast KELOLAND. The rain (and snow) will come to an end late tonight into Tuesday morning for western and central South Dakota. Winds will still be strong on Tuesday, from the northwest at twenty to thirty miles per hour.
Dry skies return on Wednesday with highs in the middle fifties. The dry skies will hold through the weekend with highs mainly in the fifties to near sixty and lows near thirty.
