Skies will clear in eastern KELOLAND this evening, but clouds will fill back in during the overnight. Light snow showers will be possible during the overnight with increasing winds in eastern KELOLAND. The combination of snow and wind will create reduced visibilities and slick roads during the overnight and early Tuesday morning. The best locations to get the light snow and wind are from Aberdeen southeast to Worthington and east. Lows will fall to the teens tonight.
Low pressure will swing through South Dakota tonight allowing for the light snow and wind to continue into Tuesday. The strong northwest winds will allow Tuesday to be the coldest day this week with highs in the twenties and thirties.
Warming temperatures will start on Wednesday with highs returning closer to average and above average for the rest of the work week. By Thursday, highs in eastern South Dakota will be in the upper thirties to lower forties.
