Clouds will increase this evening and tonight. A light snow shower or flurry can not be ruled out, but many locations will stay dry. Lows tonight will eventually fall to the single digits above and below zero with light winds.
Slightly warmer air will move through KELOLAND on Tuesday. Along with the warm-up, clouds will be thicker with light snow likely in the Hills of western KELOLAND. An inch to three will be possible in the Hills with minor accumulations (if any) for the plains of western South Dakota. Highs will be in the twenties for central and eastern KELOLAND, while the west warms to the thirties.
Models are showing different solutions when it comes to the extent and timing of our warmer weather. While one continues the warmth through the week, the other one is in favor of cool air by midweek. As of now, we’ll go with temperatures returning to average and slightly above for much of this week and the weekend. I don’t foresee a big chance for snow during the week or into the weekend either.
