Widespread nineties in KELOLAND this afternoon, with plenty more heat on the way this week.
Skies will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy this evening and tonight with lows falling to the seventies in many locations. Isolated showers and storms will develop in the Hills, but many will fall apart once they leave the Hills. With mostly sunny skies Tuesday, highs will once again hit the nineties with isolated one hundreds. The combination of heat and humidity will allow for heat advisories to continue through Friday afternoon. Expect heat index values of one hundred to one hundred eight during the afternoon in central and eastern KELOLAND during that time. Use caution when spending time outside.
There is some relief on the way. Models are hinting at chances for rain on Thursday in western South Dakota with a slow progression to the east. This could give KELOLAND a chance for much needed rain on Friday.
