by Scot Mundt
Light snow will continue in northwest Iowa and parts of southwest Minnesota through the afternoon and early evening. Any additional snow will stay less than an inch. Areas of fog will also develop over the new snow cover tonight with fog lasting into Tuesday morning. Northeast, central, and western KELOLAND had sunshine this afternoon along with above average temperatures. Skies will remain partly cloudy in these areas tonight. Overall, expect temperatures to fall to the teens and twenties by the morning.
Tuesday will start with thick clouds and fog in southeast KELOLAND, with sunshine slowly taking over for the afternoon in southeast KELOLAND. It will be another mostly sunny to partly cloudy day in northeast, central, and western South Dakota on Tuesday with highs back in the upper thirties to middle forties. Southeast KELOLAND, where the snow fell today, will be cooler with highs in the low to middle thirties.
We’ll have to watch for a shot of colder air coming later this week, but it looks like temperatures will be closer to average for a lot of us. A quick hit of warmer air will come back on Sunday.
