Light snow and/or fog are greeting many in KELOLAND this morning. Any snow that falls will stay less than a half inch, but it will be enough to make for a slick commute. Also be aware of thick fog in northeast and western South Dakota. The fog will eventually lift, but skies will remain mostly cloudy with highs in the twenties in central and eastern KELOLAND. Parts of southeast South Dakota and northwest Iowa will warm to the lower thirties with forties in western South Dakota.
Tuesday will be dry, but we’ll have to watch southeast KELOLAND for snow on Wednesday. A storm system will move through the central plains, it should be strong enough to give northwest Iowa the best chance for snow. Southeast South Dakota and southern Minnesota will also have a chance, but the bulk of it will stay to our south.
After the system leaves, seasonal temperatures will move through the upper plains with highs in the twenties for the rest of the work week. Another push of colder air arrives for the weekend with highs in the teens and twenties with dry skies.
