Storm Center Update - Friday PM

June 27, 2014, 3:55 PM by Grant Smith

For the evening and overnight tonight, KELOLAND has a chance for more storms to move through. Lows tonight ranging from the upper 50s in the west to the mid-60s for central and northeastern KELOLAND, and upper 60s for the southeast. Flash Flood watch is in effect for much of the state through Saturday morning.

For Saturday, highs in the upper 70s to low 80s for much of the state but there is a chance for more thundershowers. Good news, these are not expected to be severe. Most of the severe weather is expected to be in central Minnesota. Now that doesn’t mean a few cells won’t get too strong to be considered severe so keep an eye the weather just in case.

Sunday, warmer, highs in the low 80s. It seems there will be a break in the rain and storms during the morning and early afternoon, but later on in the day, there is a chance for severe storms for the southeastern part of KELOLAND with thunderstorms in the other parts of the state.

Once all that passes, high pressure will set up near KELOLAND so we can expect clearing skies and highs in the upper 70s next week.
