The Meteorological Spring starts Saturday and it couldn’t feel more NOT like spring. Snow is expected across KELOLAND tonight and tomorrow and single digits or colder for highs this weekend. The winds will be from the north with sustained speeds up to 20 mph so keep wind chill in mind when going outside this weekend. Wind chill values will be in the teens and twenties below zero.
Next week will be the beginning of a slow warm up, temperatures still in the single digits for Monday but every day after that has potential to be five to ten degrees warmer than the day before with western KELOLAND possibility getting up to the 40s and 50s on Thursday. Chance for snow in northeast KELOLAND Tuesday night and a chance for a winter mix Friday for all of KELOLAND. This winter event on Friday still has a lot of uncertainty associated with it, since it is 7 days out, but just keep it in mind.
