After a mild day, temperatures will plummet through the weekend. Highs on Friday will be about fifteen to thirty degrees cooler. That means plenty of twenties and thirties can be expected. These cooler temperatures will ride strong northwest winds of at least twenty to thirty-five miles per hour. The cooling trend will continue on Sunday with highs in the single digits and teens. There will also be scattered light snow, but accumulations will stay less than an inch.
The coldest air of the season will settle in Sunday night into Monday morning. That’s when temps will be in the teens and twenties below zero in eastern KELOLAND. Afternoon highs will struggle above zero in eastern and central KELOLAND with teens likely in western KELOLAND.
Temperatures will slowly warm as we go through next week.
