Clear skies this evening will continue through the overnight with light winds. Lows tonight will fall to the single digits in eastern KELOLAND to the teens in central and western South Dakota.
A weak cold front will move through KELOLAND on Saturday. Northwest winds will increase throughout the day and will be strongest in western South Dakota. Rapid City and the plains of western South Dakota will average twenty to thirty-five miles per hour. Central KELOLAND will have speeds of twenty to thirty miles per hour while eastern KELOLAND will have winds increase to ten to twenty. The northwest winds will allow for cooler air to move in with highs in the low and middle twenties in central and eastern KELOLAND to the middle thirties in western South Dakota. The front will also help produce thicker clouds, but skies will remain dry.
Warmer weather will return on Sunday with highs near thirty in the east, near forty in central South Dakota to the middle forties in the west. The warm and dry air will continue through the first half of next week, but temps will return to average by Thursday or Friday.
