Today will be sunny and warm with highs in the upper sixties to middle seventies. Winds will be from the west/southwest at five to fifteen miles per hour.
The warmth will continue into Saturday for southeast KELOLAND while western South Dakota will get cooler air. Highs on Saturday will range from the middle seventies in southeast KELOLAND to the middle/upper fifties in western South Dakota. Along with the cool air in the west, rain will develop during the afternoon.
The rain will mix with and change to snow in western South Dakota Saturday night. The wintery mix will move into central and south central South Dakota during that time and into eastern KELOLAND by daybreak on Sunday. The best chance for accumulating snow will be in the Hills of western South Dakota. Highs on Sunday will be much cooler with widespread forties likely.
Forties will last into early next week, but it will slowly start to warm after midweek.
