Store Turns To Facebook To Catch Art Thief

Store Turns To Facebook To Catch Art Thief

Owners of a local art store are turning to Facebook for help in catching a thief.

The owners of Rug and Relic posted pictures of two art pieces stolen from the store Saturday afternoon.  They hope the popularity of Facebook will make it hard for the thieves to sell or give away the pictures.

"Hopefully someone will see that and just walk right back in the door with them. I would be thrilled to have that. And at the very least, even if they don't do that, they'll have a lot of trouble giving them as a gift at this point," co-owner Tove Bormes said.

The two pictures were created by an artist in Oklahoma.  Bormes says she'll take them back with no questions asked.
