State Opens Interstate 90 Following Winter Storm

State Opens Interstate 90 Following Winter Storm
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Interstate 90 from Chamberlain to Murdo is now open to traffic, but drivers are reminded to be careful if they must travel.

South Dakota officials say roads remain snow packed with slippery areas and possible blowing and drifting snow.

Plows are out working to clear the roads and drivers are asked to be aware of the crews.  Remember that plows travel about 25 to 30 miles per hour or less.  Drivers need to maintain a safe distance behind the snowplow to avoid a crash or being sprayed by de-icer and salt.
