The South Dakota Republican Party has elected its new leadership team.
Former marketing and advertising executive Craig Lawrence will serve as chairman. He replaces state Sen. Tim Rave.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard's press secretary Tony Venhuizen made the announcement Saturday on his Twitter account.
Venhuizen says former state Rep. Kim Vanneman of Ideal will serve as vice chairwoman, Rapid City attorney Sara Frankenstein will serve as secretary and Pierre attorney Justin Bell will serve as treasurer.
Lawrence is co-founder of Lawrence & Schiller, an advertising and marketing firm based in Sioux Falls, but sold his interest in the firm in November. He has worked in Republican campaigns for more than three decades and also was a newspaper editor and general manager of some broadcast stations.
