Attorney General Marty Jackley's office is hosting the 15th annual Pie Day in the state Capitol on Saturday.
The annual free event includes free pie, cookies, coffee and ice cream and entertainment.
Pie Day began when Mark Barnett was attorney general.
He told workers at a polling place that state law prevented them from offering snacks or goodies to voters. Instead, he invited them to Pierre to have pie, and the annual event has been going on each year. It now attracts hundreds of people.
Saturday's event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
