WOONSOCKET, SD -
A man was jailed on an aggravated assault charge after a five-hour standoff with law enforcement in Woonsocket.
Sanborn County Sheriff Tom Fridley says it began around 9 Sunday evening, possibly as the result of a household argument. Fridley said the man was alone in the house during the standoff and weapons were found inside.
Fridley said the standoff ended peacefully and no one was hurt.
