While progress continues on both the inside and the outside of the new Denny Sanford PRIEMER center, applications for the open jobs to staff it are now flowing in.
"I think they're all interesting jobs. Working in this facility is going to be so exciting," SMG Human Resources Coordinator Heather Christion said.
Those full-time positions range from an assistant box office manager to operations staff to a premier seating manager who will assist suite holders.
"They'll help them with catering. They'll help them with ticketing and signage in their suites and things like that," Christion said.
The center is also looking for an ice manager.
"They will come in and take care of the ice for hockey. Make sure the ice plant is running right and the ice is good and they'll also do some operational things as well so we can keep them busy year round," Christion said.
Those 10 to 15 full-time positions will be salaried at a rate of $30,000 to $40,000 a year depending on experience.
"We can also send them out for training too. SMG is a large company and we have places we can send them for training," Christion said.
Some of the full-time positions are already closed and the selection process is about to get underway. Other positions will be filled this summer.
SMG will also be hiring part-time staff for things like ticket-taking, ushering and crowd control, but doesn't yet know how many part-time positions will be available.
