St. Francis Man Faces Charges In Connection With Double Murder

A St. Francis, South Dakota, man faces a long list of charges in connection with a double murder that may have happened on Christmas Eve.

A federal grand jury has decided there is enough evidence to charge 20-year-old Riley McCloskey with First Degree Murder, assault and resisting arrest.

McCloskey is one of three people arrested in the case.

Authorities say between December 23 and 24, the three attempted to kidnap two people on the Rosebud Reservation, and instead both victims were assaulted and stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver.

If found guilty of murder, McCloskey could serve a life sentence.
