Sportsmen's Show Runs Through Sunday

The Sioux Empire Sportsmen's Show claims to have everything an outdoors enthusiast could need and then some.

"It really is five big shows in one," Barry Cenaiko said.

From now through Sunday, vendors will show off their latest products. The Sportsmen's show has everything from boats and campers, to tackle and vacation packages.

And those here say if you think you've seen or have it all, think again.

"You know, the marine electronics and the hunting electronics switches about every six months, there's an upgrade. These guys always have everything that is brand new, the latest gadgets for the outdoor industry. Better yet, they know how to use them," Cenaiko said.

Cenaiko adds this is also a good time to book vacations because these vendors will now travel from show to show and they can fill up their availabilities.

And at the very least, everyone can use this annual event as a sign that spring is just around the corner.

"It really does, it has been a cold winter and we've had plenty of snow, but the birds are chirping and the weather is starting to turn," Cenaiko said.

The show is open through Sunday. It also features many hunting and fishing seminars, live trout fishing and performances from a water skiing squirrel.
