Authorities say an increase in relative humidity has decreased the intensity of a Black Hills wildfire, but the blaze has expanded.
The Myrtle Fire near Pringle was reported Saturday to be more than 9,000 acres, or about 14 square miles. That's up from 7,500 acres Friday.
The fire was 15 percent contained.
Evacuation orders were given Friday to residents in 242 homes, after an initial request to 33 homes.
Shelters are set up at Custer Middle School, and the Mueller Center in Hot Springs.
The fire has shut down several roads and forced Wind Cave National Park to close. No structures have been lost.
About 250 personnel are fighting the blaze, which started on Thursday afternoon.
