South Dakota Top State Salaries

January 15, 2013, 4:42 PM by Angela Kennecke

South Dakota Top State Salaries
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The Governor may be the top ranking state official, but he doesn't have the largest salary.

His 2013 budget lists the state's top wage earners, including the Dean of the Sanford School of Medicine, Mary Dekker Nettleman, who has a salary of a half million dollars a year.

The State Investment Officer, Matthew Clark, draws a salary of nearly $387,000.

The presidents of South Dakota's Public Universities both make $334,000 a year

Jim Soyer, the Legislative Director for South Dakota, makes more than the governor at $103,000 a year.  And the governor is now paid $101,000 a year.
