The South Dakota State Fair has wrapped up in Huron, and crews have started work tearing down and cleaning up.
Fair Manager Jerome Hertel says attendance over the five days starting last Thursday could surpass last year's record of 177,700 people. Official numbers will be released in the new few weeks.
Hertel says favorable weather was a factor in the fair's good run. He says temperatures most days were in the mid-70s.
