A Rapid City man who made headlines last year by loaning his vehicle to a New York family whose motorhome had broken down in South Dakota now finds himself in need.
47-year-old David Tolley and his 15- and 19-year-old daughters are staying at a hotel after losing nearly everything in a recent house fire.
While Tolley waits for answers from an insurance company, his landlord and fire investigators, people who know him are doing what they can to help. His former employer, Brent Bednarz, who works in auto sales, has started a donation account at Med5 Federal Credit Union under the name David Tolley Good Samaritan.
Tolley last July loaned his vehicle to a father and five children who were stranded on Interstate 90.
