South Dakota Gets Mixed Safety Scores
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

A new national report says South Dakota is ready for whatever Mother Nature sends our way. WalletHub put together a list of the safest states, and South Dakota ranks fifth for emergency preparedness.

The Rushmore state came in fourth for financial safety, but did not score as well in other categories.  South Dakota ranks 40th for driving safety and 48th for workplace safety. 

Overall, WalletHub ranks South Dakota 24th.  Massachusetts is the safest state.  Nevada is the most dangerous.
