Voting centers for the Sioux Falls city elections closed at 7:00 p.m., but even before that, KELOLAND News has received several calls and emails about problems with ballots.
In one circumstance, voter Allen Larson says that at the MariCar voting center, he only had one city council race on his ballot. After pointing this issue out to officials at the center, Larson says that he was told that he was given the correct ballot and wasn't allowed to vote again.
One other issue being reported is people being left off the eligible voter list. One voter tells KELOLAND News that she voted at Peace Lutheran Church and after getting her ID scanned, she was told that she wasn't in the system as an eligible voter. This voter tells us that she has lived in Sioux Falls for many years and voted in the 2012 elections in Sioux Falls. She says her name was placed on a list and she was given a ballot to vote. She submitted the ballot in a different location and she says she will be told if her ballot will count sometime in the next two weeks.
We will have much more on these developments coming up tonight on KELOLAND News at 10.
