Some Areas Could Have A Dry Spring

This is looking like an active week and weekend as we have chances for rain. That's good news as some areas might be looking at a record dry spring.

This map shows the amount of water since March first. Many locations are between two and three and a half. The bottom number shows the difference from average, many locations are well below average.  Sioux Falls stands out at almost three and a half inches below for the spring. If we don't add to the amount, this will go down as the third driest spring in Sioux Falls.

To stay in the top ten, we'll have to get no more than one point ninety-four inches for the rest of the month.

Hopefully that's a list we don't make. For the record, May is the second wettest month on average for Sioux Falls with three point four inches. Our wettest month is June with nearly four inches.
