With the cold air retreating during the first half of this week, we've been able to get rid of some of the snow and ice cover in KELOLAND.
So far this winter Rapid City leads the way with about 44 percent of the prediction of 62.5 inches. Sioux Falls is about one-third of the way there with 17 inches so far. The Hills drop to about one-quarter of the way there, while Pierre and Aberdeen are trying to make it to 20 percent of the forecasted total.
Colder air will move back in later this week, it will also give us a chance to add a little more white to the ground.
We have plenty of time to catch up as winter officially starts this Saturday.
