It's a happy new year so far for snow removal businesses in KELOLAND.
They were busy today moving fresh powder.
It's not the snow, but the cold weather that's taking a toll on the equipment.
When it gets below zero diesel fuel starts to gel, making it hard to get things started.
While we haven't seen a heavy snow fall this holiday week, there's been enough work to go around.
“It's been busy. A lot of little snows. The cold has definitely been a factor. With the humidity in the air the predictions have been hard. They say an inch, we get a half inch. They say a half inch we get an inch and a half. But we're always ready to go. So whatever we do get, we're ready,” Dan Pyle with D & K Lawn Care said.
Pyle adds because of all the new construction in Sioux Falls there is always plenty of work to go around.
