Snow has been falling steadily throughout parts of KELOLAND Wednesday morning. And that's making it a little difficult for drivers.
Sioux Falls has received just over an inch of snow. Other areas in KELOLAND received as much as two inches. But, it will quickly exit the area and warm weather is on its way. Read more about the forecast from the Storm Center.
Crews were busy earlier Wednesday morning clearing the roads and parking lots.
Dale Medlen is an airport shuttle driver and will be making many trips around Sioux Falls. He says he's prepared for these types of conditions.
“I'll be working from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., so I have to work five hours today (Wednesday), but in that five hours I'll be running from probably anywhere between 30 to 40 miles around the airport running people back and forth," Medlen said. "It's a little slick (on the road) and in the parking lots and it makes the roads a little greasy. But I'm not going fast so it's not real hazardous."
But good news is ahead; temperatures will rise in most areas during the night Wednesday. Highs on Thursday are expected to be in the 30s and 40s.
