Snow Goose migration is underway and the US Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a Conservation Order that allows states to hunt snow geese in the spring.
The Order runs from February 15 to May 4 and is specific to snow, blue and Ross’ geese. No other waterfowl may be taken.
Hunting is allowed with no limit on the number of geese. Hunters must have a valid hunting license, but the federal waterfowl stamp is no required. Nontoxic shot is required.
