Some in KELOLAND will wake up to snow on the ground Friday morning.
Our KELOLAND Weather Team says anywhere from one to three inches of snow fell from Huron to Sioux Falls. And that's making for a slick commute for some.
According to Safe Travel U.S.A.'s website, roads in the Sioux Falls area are slippery with some snow and ice, especially in the passing lane. Areas north of Sioux Falls have some scattered slippery spots on highways and Interstate 29. But roads in the central and western part of the state remain clear.
A few schools in the area are opening late Friday morning and a few cities have issued snow alerts. Check out our KELOLAND Closeline for those details.
This "nuisance" snow won't be here long. The sun will come out later Friday afternoon in eastern KELOLAND, but temperatures will still remain low. Read more about the day's forecast in Scot Mundt's Storm Center Update.
