The wintry conditions and snow covered roads caused a three car pile-up on Interstate 90 Friday night.
Five people are in the hospital after a pickup heading west on I-90 lost control and crossed the median into oncoming traffic, hitting two other vehicles.
It happened between Brandon and Sioux Falls just after eight o' clock Friday night. There is no word on the severity of the injuries yet, but dozens of cars came to a standstill while emergency crews cleaned up the accident.
The Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
