It may have been a messy ride home Monday, but this latest round of snow is helping areas short on moisture.
Many of us may be ready for spring, but this snow is a welcome sight in some parts of KELOLAND.
Many locations are below average for precipitation including Winner, Aberdeen, Huron and Watertown, which are all more than a half inch below average since the first of the year. Sioux Falls is currently twenty-one hundredths below.
Two areas are above average including the southern Hills, with Custer over by about a third of an inch, and Faith over by just fourteen hundredths.
After the snow early this week, there's another round in the works for the weekend. March snows typically have more moisture, but that probably won't be the case this time around because temperatures will remain well below average.
