It's been a busy weather week in KELOLAND. Lots of rain and even snow fell across majority of the region and it lasted for days. But this was no ordinary system.
Usually when a low pressure moves through, it does a single pass by and is done. When this system came through the low was cut off from the jet stream, causing the low to slow down and even move slightly west. This brought KELOLAND slow moving rain which turned to snow.
Here are the top five reports from the last week. Some areas in central KELOLAND saw up to 2 inches of rain in 24 hours. Other areas like western and northeastern South Dakota saw just under 2 inches over the last week. However the southeast saw around half an inch total.
The weekend looks to be an improvement as 50s and 60s returns for highs with rain Saturday evening through Sunday morning.
