Roads across South Dakota are reportedly slick Friday morning following a winter storm.
Safe Travel USA shows that roads in eastern South Dakota are covered in snow and ice, making them slippery. The central and western part of the state is dealing with scattered ice on some roads, which is also creating slippery conditions.
A crash involving a semi on Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls slowed traffic for a time Friday morning as crews worked to clear the scene.
While the snow is ending now in eastern South Dakota, it did leave behind several inches on many communities. Sioux Falls and Rock Valley both ended up with four inches of snow; Vermillion had 4.5 inches; Tripp and Geddes saw six inches fall; and Tyndall and Yankton received seven inches.
