Slick Conditions Slow Morning Commute For Some

January 28, 2013, 6:26 AM by Austin Hoffman

Slick Conditions Slow Morning Commute For Some
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Fog and icy road conditions are causing some crashes during the morning commute in eastern KELOLAND.

Roads are covered in moisture from recent rain and the morning fog.  And while temperatures are hovering above the freezing mark, the frozen ground is helping that turn to ice on roads and sidewalks.  Safe Travel USA's website has the latest road conditions listed.

The Sioux Falls Regional Airport has also cancelled some Monday morning flights.  You can check the status of your flight on the airport's website.

Dozens of schools, especially in southwestern Minnesota and Northwestern Iowa, are delaying the start of school Monday Morning.  You can find the latest announcements on our KELOLAND Closeline.
