Skyforce Uses Team Effort To Top Iowa
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Iowa Energy 96-79 Tuesday night. Every player for the Skyforce scored and they never trailed as they won their sixth straight home game.

Sioux Falls (19-12) got off to a good start and led 31-16 after one quarter. It was much of the same in the second quarter as the lead increased to as many as 26 points (48-22). Sioux Falls outshot Iowa 55 percent (23-of-42) to 31 percent (16-of-52) in the first half to take a 56-37 lead into the locker room.

Iowa (7-23) went on a 9-3 spurt to start the second half to cut the deficit to 13 points (59-46) but Sioux Falls regained control and led by as many as 27 points (85-58) in the final quarter.

Mustapha Farrakhan posted 15 points and five assists against his former team. Mark Tyndale and Damian Saunders added 15 and 14 points off the bench, respectively.

Jarrid Famous scored a game-high 17 points while Paul Harris recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Terrence Jennings scored 11 points in a reserve role.

The same two teams face off in Sioux Falls on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. CT.
