Skyforce To Play At Sanford Facility

November 30, 2011, 12:17 PM

Skyforce To Play At Sanford Facility
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce is making a move.

The team currently plays at the Arena and rather than move to the newly-approved events center, KELOLAND News has learned the Skyforce has decided to play at a facility being built by Sanford Health.

The $18 million basketball complex is known as the Pentagon. It will include a 3,000 seat arena along with multiple basketball courts. It's being built as part of a 175-acre sports complex near the corner of Benson Road and Westport Avenue.

In 2010, Sanford CEO Kelby Krabbenhoft said that he hoped to break ground within two years on the Pentagon.

KELOLAND Sports Director Matt Holsen will talk with the Sioux Falls Skyforce about the decision and get an update on the progress of the Pentagon from Sanford Health. Tune into KELOLAND News at 5 and 6 for those details.
