Gov. Dennis Daugaard will host six Workforce Summits across South Dakota between late April and mid-June.
Daugaard says the goal is to get state, community, business and education leaders talking about South Dakota's workforce challenges and opportunities.
Daugaard says South Dakota has abundant career opportunities and great employers - but he says the available labor supply must be expanded.
Summits are planned April 29 in Mitchell, May 21 in Watertown, May 22 in Brookings, June 3 in Rapid City, June 4 in Aberdeen and June 17 in Sioux Falls. They are free and open to the public, though pre-registration is required.
