Siouxland Libraries Hosts Knit A Square Night

Siouxland Libraries Hosts Knit A Square Night
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Those who love to knit and crochet are welcome to join others at the Main Library at 7 p.m. on August 11. There you will make an 8” x 8” square for KasCare.

KasCare helps with the chronic shortage of blankets for South Africa’s abandoned and orphaned children.

The squares will be assembled into quilts and donated to babies and children with HIV/AIDS in Bryanston, South Africa.

Needles and worsted-weight yarn will be available, but it is recommended that you bring your own.

If you are unable to attend, but would still like to help out, check out the website www.knit-a-square.com. Squares must be donated by Monday, September 1 to any Siouxland Library branch.
