Snowplows have spent day and night clearing off streets in Sioux Falls. But you won't see them on residential-side streets.
People leaving for work Monday morning had a tricky time getting through all the snow on the neighborhood-side streets. There hasn't been a snow emergency, and that is why the plows have not been through neighborhoods. But city officials say they are doing something to clear them.
Sunday night, they started laying down a sand-salt mix to burn through the ice and snow. Every side street should have it and they hope that will help make it easier for drivers to get around.
